Why Lainey Wilson Always Wears Bell Bottoms?

Lainey Wilson stumbled into her first pair of bell-bottoms while still a "little girl." Then, oddly during the year of jeggings, the super-flared pants surfaced in her wardrobe once she moved to Nashville in 2011. This is for good this time.

"A few years in [to her music career] I found really quickly that as a respectable female singer-songwriter, that's not enough. She says to others, "I needed to do something that made me stand out and stand apart," about her jewelry endeavor with Kendra Scott.

"I'll probably be 90 years old and still wearing bell-bottoms — I don't think anyone's ever seen my ankles! She promised then to wear bell-bottoms "every single day," which she intends to keep on doing for life, even in her old age (“I'll probably be 90 years old and still wearing bell-bottom cover story").

She blinged-out, splashed in patterns, worked with virtually every style under the sun, fashioned from leather, fitted into a tailored suit. She even wore a rhinestone pair when cosplaying Hannah Montana, a gig she used to do before her big break, respecting Miley Cyrus's Disney Legend accolade on Aug. 11.

She throws on her chosen jeans even though she knows she will get some unfavorable comments. "What can I do that still is true to me, that makes me feel like I can really do anything and walk somewhere with confidence?" she says.

"Occasional occasions observed people asking, 'What in the world are you doing? She looked at me crazy. You seem to have come out of the 1970s. Still, I carried on believing in it. Eventually, I reasoned, if you toss something against the wall long enough it would stick.

Who knows? I'm not going to say, ultimately, that I'm not going to dress anything." When questioned whether she would never try seeking for something, Wilson responds. She points out, "many people have never seen me in a dress."

One exception, though, is there Wilson says, "You ain't going to see me in skinny jeans." She used to actually wear fitted trousers "a lot" before she changed them into flares in typical Lainey style.
