Is Livvy Dunne still the highest-paid college athlete?

LSU Gymnastics star and social media icon Livvy Dunne was one of the first college athletes to benefit from NIL. The highest-paid collegiate athlete, Dunne, made hundreds of thousands of dollars after players could benefit off their name, image, and likeness.

In her final year with LSU Gymnastics, Livvy has built one of the largest TikTok and Instagram followings over the past five years. She has fully capitalized on NIL and is worth 4.1 million dollars, per On3.

Dunne earns the most of any female athlete in the nation. On3's assessments place LSU player Flau'jae Johnson as the next highest-paid female athlete at 1.5 million dollars. Overall, Dunne is the fourth highest-paid athlete and Johnson the 58th. Their gap is large.

Dunne's 4.1 million dollar valuation exceeds Jeremiah Smith, Garrett Nussmeier, DJ Lagway, Cade Klubnik, Drew Allar, Bryce Underwood, and other top college football players.

LSU has always dominated NIL. In this new era of college athletics, Livvy Dunne, Angel Reese, Jayden Daniels, and Flau'jae Johnson created patterns while never having the money other colleges had. Livvy, Reese, Johnson, and Daniels make LSU's brand one of the biggest in collegiate athletics.

Livvy Dunne was one of the first athletes to grasp and use NIL, and we're seeing its benefits.
