How to Make Garlic-Parmesan Green Beans

You'll need fresh green beans, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes for a kick.

Gather Ingredients

Wash and trim the ends of the green beans. Pat them dry to ensure they roast or sauté properly.

Prep the Green Beans

For extra tenderness, boil them in salted water for 2-3 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath to stop the cooking. Drain well

Blanch the Green Beans (Optional)

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant

Sauté with Garlic

Add the green beans to the pan, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.

Cook the Green Beans

Sprinkle grated Parmesan over the beans, stirring until it melts slightly and coats the green beans.

Add Parmesan Cheese

Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with more Parmesan and red pepper flakes if desired, and serve hot!

Serve and Enjoy
