Pour hot water directly on the ant hill. It goes deep into the tunnels, killing the colony instantly. Repeat the process for large or stubborn hills.
1. Boiling Water Work
Mix vinegar and water 1:1 and pour on the mound. This strong-smelling mix breaks up the hill and forces ants to leave the nest behind.
2. Use White Vinegar Mix
This powder is safe for pets but deadly to ants. Sprinkle it around the mound and entry points. It dries out ants by damaging their outer layer.
3. Try Diatomaceous Earth
Ants hate the smell of cinnamon. Sprinkle ground cinnamon generously around the hill to drive ants away and stop them from coming back.
4. Cinnamon for Natural Repel
Use a shovel to dig up the ant hill and place it into a sealed trash bag. Dispose of it far from your home to stop re-colonization nearby.
5. Dig and Dump the Hill
Set up store-bought ant bait near hills. Ants carry the poison back to the queen. It may take days, but it wipes out the whole colony quietly.
6. Ant Baits for Deep Kill
Remove food scraps, trim grass, and seal trash bins. A clean yard makes it harder for ants to build massive hills and makes your space less inviting.
7. Keep Yard Clean
