Fans say "stay away from her," yet Drake, 38, loves Gracie Abrams, 25.

On his Instagram story, the rapper recently praised Gracie's song, I Knew It, noting, "[Goat emoji]"'d beat switch on this second half is [pleading face emoji][mind blown emoji][light blue heart emoji]"

He accompanied the caption with a screen grab of the song's lyrics, "You had the wrong idea bout me / And all I ever did was consider you / Until all I could do was consider you / I was your entertainment from a dark place / You don't know how to step outside yourself."

Fans were not happy with Drake's action even as he was expressing some love. As the 25-year-old star's supporters rushed to protect her, the 38-year-old musician was actually getting flamed on X, formerly known as Twitter.

One supporter said, "absolutely f------ not stay away from her." Another added, "he needs to leave gracie out of this."

Online, too, the same meme was sent repeatedly. Reference to the celebrity encounter included a scuffed screenshot of Demi Lovato remarking " GET A JOB" and "STAY AWAY FROM HER".

A third admirer thought he was "trying to cling on her fame" after his recent confrontation with Kendrick Lamar as the music business keeps sending negative his way.

Other supporters noted that this isn't the only time he's hooked onto strong women as a fan commented, "Remember he tried to get taylor's attention & she paid him dust bunnies do not fall for his bs."

As Drake's acrimony with Kendrick grew tense, he felt the internet turn against him. Before Kendrick, the artists traded quite a few diss records; finally, his song Not Like Us won several Grammys and was played at the Super Bowl, so appearing to come out on top.

Drake's been somewhat quiet, though, since he finished his own songs on the topic. He's been publicly moving forward in various spheres of his life, including this little shout-out to Gracie, while he's gotten into some legal concerns around the circumstances.
