DeAndre Hopkins at last had an opportunity to realize his dream of participating in a Super Bowl last season; so, the experienced wide receiver's new team ought to be a strong competitor as well.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Hopkins agreed on Tuesday a one-year, $5 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens. The thirty-two-year-old will have an opportunity to collect further bonuses worth $1 million.
Ahead of the deadline last season, the Tennessee Titans exchanged Hopkins to the Kansas City Chiefs. Over ten regular-season games with Kansas City, Hopkins caught forty-one receptions for 437 yards and four touchdowns.
Hopkins three seasons with the Arizona Cardinals and seven with the Houston Texans preceded joining the Titans in 2023. Five times in his career, he has been chosen to the Pro Bowl; during his prime, he was among the NFL's top wideouts.
Hopkins should present Baltimore's passing attack with the vertical threat it has been lacking if he can remain healthy. Under offensive coordinator Todd Monken, Zay Flowers broke out second season with the Ravens.
Hopkins may act as a strong threat in the red zone and assist deflect some of the focus off the inexperienced wide receiver.
