Check if the IRS selected you for the $1,400 Stimulus Check

The tool sometimes lets you enter bank account details for direct deposit. The IRS updates this information daily, usually at night, so checking more than once is unnecessary.

The 'Get My Payment' Tool

Check your identity with security questions before using the tool. If your responses don't match IRS records after many attempts, you'll be locked out for 24 hours.

If 'Payment status not available,' the IRS may not be able to assess your eligibility. Your 2019 tax return may not be processed yet. Non-filers who utilized 'Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here' can check their payment status using 'Get My Payment.'

Not everyone qualified for stimulus money. The White House said they were for singles earning up to $75,000, heads of households earning up to $112,500, and married couples filing jointly earning up to $150,000.

Standards for Eligibility

Workers earning up to $80,000 received partial stimulus checks, while married couples earning above $160,000 were disqualified.

The IRS clarified that stimulus checks are not taxed. Financial aid won't be subtracted from tax debt, so you can request it even if you owe taxes.

Three stimulus cheques were allowed by the federal government to address the coronavirus pandemic's economic impact.

Both $1,200 and $600 were allowed under Donald Trump. President Joe Biden approved the third, $1,400. Act quickly if you're still lacking your payment. Visit the IRS website, use the tools, and check your eligibility.

If you filed your return and claimed your stimulus check after April 15, it may take longer than the standard 21 days promised by the IRS.
