How LSU Basketball Player Flau'jae Johnson Silences The Noise

Superstar guard for Louisiana State University (LSU) women's basketball team Flau'sjae Johnson enjoys being busy.

The 21-year-old concentrates on silence to enter the correct state of mind before a major game. She says, "I'll sit on the sidelines and try to make the arena go silent in my head." Sometimes I overlook my presence in the stadium. I'll be really locked in.

Johnson, a junior in college, will shortly be WNBA draft eligible, but she says she's already so happy of her career so far, citing the national title win of her team in the 2022–2023 season.

Apart from titles, she has found personally beneficial basketball. "Sport are so vital," she says. "From my freshman year to this year in my character, I have developed so much."

She has also had chance to collaborate with big companies, such as her most recent project with Invisalign. "I wore braces when I was little.

My mother worked hard to get them for me, but then I neglected to wear my retener," she notes. She believes the easiest approach to correct her teeth since they have moved—especially while on the road or in the studio—is with the brand's detachable aligners.

Johnson gets a call from her mother, Kia Brooks, as we speak teeth, tournaments, and travel.

"My mom's my biggest fan," she continues, fast glancing at her phone. After a win or a loss, Brooks is the first person she phones. "I'll call her if my game is poor since she will hype me up."
